Hello Hicks families!
It is a pleasure to be a part of this amazing community. I have had the great fortune to be a Hicks tiger for the last 21 years. In 2003 I started at Hicks as our assistant principal, and in 2008 I was entrusted with leading the school in the role of principal. Longevity means that I have watched students grow up, have children, and bring those children right back to Hicks! We also have a number of teachers who attended Hicks as students. So cool!
At Hicks we commit to providing a caring culture, acting with perseverance and accountability, and providing purpose driven instruction. Our values and beliefs guide our decisions and actions.
I would like to encourage all families to be an active part of our school. Take classes in the Family Center. Volunteer in the library or gardens. Join a committee. Check out extra books for your children or resources for yourself. Have fun at Family Nights or dance with your child at the Hoe Down. Observe a class. Join lunch. Ask questions. Share ideas. Be a part of your child’s educational experience.
With pride and appreciation,
