I am super passionate about Science and STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math). Students get the opportunity to have hands on experiences regarding science concepts linked with literacy components to promote student success. Science happens every day for our Horn cubs. In 2018-2019 school year our school was introduced to the 4th grade STEM academy. Our 4th graders participate in several project based learning activities throughout the school year. Students have the opportunity to solve real world problems and create solutions to help solve those problems.  Our Girlstart afterschool program for 4th grade girls, met every Wednesday to work on STEM based projects and connect with each other.
