My name is Tisha Jones, and I’m super excited to be Kennedy Elementary new building principal. I have been a part of the Alief family for 22 years—an alumna of Sam Houston State University and the University of Houston-Clear Lake. My career began with a strong foundation in the classroom at Boone Elementary, teaching Pre-K - 4th grade and the AIMS gifted and talented program. My passion for literacy and learning propelled me to Hicks Elementary as an ELAR Instructional Specialist. I have served as an assistant principal at Chambers and Horn Elementary. My philosophy is that quality education grows from a positive school environment, which is the key to a progressive community of lifelong learners. I hope to inspire others, show servant leadership, promote positive interactions with all stakeholders, and increase teacher and student capacity as leaders.

My name is ​Yvette Saldaña, and I am the assistant principal at ​Kennedy Elementary School.  I have been a proud member of the Alief family for more than ​11 years. Before becoming an assistant principal, I taught Kindergarten, tutored various grade level and have served as ​Science Instructional Technology Specialist. I graduated from ​University of Texas-Austin, where I obtained my ​bachelor's degree in Bilingual Education. I also hold a master's in educational leadership from the University of Houston Clearlake.
