National Elementary Honor Society

About NEHS

The National Elementary Honor Society (NEHS) recognizes elementary students for their outstanding academic achievements and character, providing a foundation for lifelong success.

Goal: To cultivate an environment of excellence, leadership, and service across all elementary and intermediate campuses in our district.

By establishing an NEHS at every campus, we aim to create a cohesive, district-wide commitment to nurturing our students' potential.

Purpose and Benefits of NEHS

The National Elementary Honor Society (NEHS) provides students in grades 4-6 a place to develop and apply their passion for service, while obtaining the skills to be confident young leaders for years to come.

NEHS membership is centered on recognizing students for their accomplishments while challenging and equipping them to develop further as leaders through service to their school and community.

The NEHS program empowers and equips students with the knowledge and skills to be transformative leaders in our schools, community, and beyond.

It provides a necessary bridge between students and school leaders - helping them to engage and hear what students think, feel, and need.

NEHS promotes the pillars of scholarship and responsibility early on. Through exploration of each pillar, student members learn many valuable life lessons, including the importance of personal responsibility and giving back to the community.
