Student Accident Insurance/Interscholastic Sports & U.I.L.

Every year Alief ISD provides Accident Insurance Protection to their students while participating in interscholastic sports and UIL approved activities.  This coverage is provided by AIG and underwritten by National Union Fire Insurance.  This is an accident-only policy and is secondary to any other coverage a family may carry.

Alief ISD offers Voluntary Accident Insurance Protection to their students. Parents/ guardians are given a choice of two school approved plans, Plan A and Plan B, which offer different amounts of coverage.  To see specifically what each plan covers, please request a Student Accident Insurance Application from your child's school.

You have the opportunity to select Optional Student Accident coverage provided by AIG underwritten by National Union Fire Insurance.  This is an accident-only policy that is available to each student and is secondary to any other coverage that you may carry.  

The premiums are total cost per year: 

• At-school coverage - $37.00                  

• 24 Hour coverage - $143.00

Full Time 24 Hour Accident Coverage

• At home

• At school

• While engaged in covered sports

• At play

• During covered travel

• On vacation

• Scouting, camping, etc.

School Time Accident Coverage

• During the school year

• Travel to and from school

• School supervised activities

• Class trips

You may download the informational packet below or find it available in the main office of each campus. The purchase of insurance is entirely optional.  To have coverage the first day of school, applications for insurance must be sent to AIG underwritten by National Union Fire Insurance.  Applications received after October 1st will be effective upon date of receipt.  Please send all applications directly to AIG and not Alief ISD.
