The first day of school at Hicks Elementary went off without a hitch as students and teachers returned to the classroom. Thanks to an all-hands-on-deck effort, everyone was sent home safely. Teachers and students practiced routines and procedures, laying the foundation for a strong school year and beginning to build a new community together. The administration was on hand to support teachers and staff, even providing some tasty treats midday to keep morale high. To commemorate the day, back-to-school pictures were taken with the #LightsCameraLearn theme, capturing the excitement and energy of the new school year.
